New

Creates a new Total Commander menu file.

Open...

Opens an existing Total Commander menu file.

Save

Saves the current file. When you save a file for the first time, the program will displays the Save As dialog box so you can name your menu file.

Save As...

Saves the current file using different name.

Save and Restart Total Commander

Saves the current file and restart Total Commander if it is running, useful to make Total Commander reload the main menu with changes you already did.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Q

AlertUse this command only if the file you are editing is the current main menu file used by Total Commander, otherwise you will not see your changes when Total Commander restarting.

Create Full Menu

Closes the current file and creates a new file includes all Total Commander internal commands organized according to categories in the Totalcmd.inc file.

To add command text instead of description, before executing this command press Shift key and keep it pressed until finishing.

Check Mnemonics...

Search current file for duplicated mnemonic or items not containing mnemonics.

Customize Totalcmd.inc file...

Displays Customize Totalcmd.inc file dialog box.

Recent Files

Displays the most recently used files to quickly open one of them.

Exit

Closes the current file and quits the program. If you try to quit before saving changes to your work, you'll be prompted to save your work first.
