Open...

Opens an existing Total Commander configuration file (Wincmd.ini) to edit its hotkeys.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+O

Save

Saves changes to the current Total Commander configuration file.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+S
Toolbar button: toolbar icon

Save and Restart Total Commander

Saves changes and restart Total Commander if it is running. You must restart Total Commander to make it recognize the new settings.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Q

AlertTotal Commander will restart using settings in the file you are editing, therefore if this file isn't your default Wincmd.ini you may find some settings out of date.

Export to Text File...

Displays Export to Text File dialog box.

Toolbar button: toolbar icon

Export To Main Menu...

Updates your default Total Commander main menu file according to the current hotkeys map.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+E
Toolbar button: toolbar icon

Example:

If you have a command in your Total Commander main menu its caption is:

Copy Filename(s) to Clipboard        Ctrl+Alt+C

and you changed the hotkey for this command to Ctrl+Shift+C then after exporting, its caption will changed to:

Copy Filename(s) to Clipboard        Ctrl+Shift+C

also if you delete the hotkey for this command, it will deleted too from its caption and it will be:

Copy Filename(s) to Clipboard

Recent Files

Displays the most recently used files to quickly open one of them.

Exit

Closes the current file and quits the program. If you try to quit before saving changes to your work, you'll be prompted to save your work first.
